Senior Translator-Revisor | Traducteur-réviseur principal Job ID: 58709 | Montreal, QC | Hybrid We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Translator-Revisor to join a collaborative Translation Services team in Montreal. This is an excellent opportunity for a bilingual language professional with strong English-to-French translation and revision experience, particularly in corporate communications, insurance, technology, or banking. Position Details Location: Hybrid — 2 days onsite-Montreal, QC Contract: October 19, 2026 to October 15, 2027 Schedule: Monday to Friday, 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Reporting to the Associate Manager of Translation Services, you will translate and revise English-to-French content across multiple areas of the organization, with a focus on corporate communications, insurance, and technology. The position involves approximately: 60% revision 40% translation You will work with internal partners, external suppliers, and other members of the Translation Services team to deliver accurate, consistent, high-quality content while meeting service-level and productivity objectives. Key Responsibilities Manage long-term translation projects from beginning to end Translate and revise content from English into French Act as a language expert and trusted resource for colleagues, internal partners, and external suppliers Coach, train, and provide guidance to junior translators Conduct terminological research and contribute to terminology databases Ensure translated content follows corporate brand, tone, and style guidelines Collaborate with internal partners and vendors to deliver turnkey translations Meet or exceed service-level agreements and productivity targets Manage competing priorities, urgent requests, and deadlines in a fast-paced environment Provide coverage for the Associate Manager, as required Perform machine-translation post-editing when needed Qualifications Bachelor’s degree with a specialization in English-to-French translation, or equivalent education 8–10 years of translation experience Approximately 5 years of revision experience in a structured work environment Professional experience in banking, insurance, corporate communications, or technology Fluency in both English and French, including a strong understanding of language nuances Experience with translation tools, including FlowFit and memoQ Experience with machine-translation post-editing Strong communication, analytical, and decision-making skills Ability to work independently while contributing effectively to a team Exceptional attention to detail and commitment to quality Ability to coach colleagues and serve as a subject-matter resource Membership in OTTIAQ is an asset Knowledge of Copilot and Globalese is an asset What’s Offered Engaging projects involving corporate communications and other key business areas Supportive and collaborative team environment Opportunities to contribute to special assignments and process improvement Potential for contract extension and permanent conversion Pay rates: Independent Contractor: up to $73.00/hour T4: up to $64.00/hour + 4% vacation pay If you are an experienced English-to-French translator and reviser who thrives in a fast-paced, quality-focused environment, we encourage you to apply.
