Position Overview

We are seeking a highly detail‑oriented Remote Pharmacy Technician – Data Entry Specialist to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be the linchpin that ensures the accuracy, completeness, and security of prescription data across our global network. Working from the comfort of your home, you will collaborate with pharmacists, technicians, and IT specialists to maintain the highest standards of data quality and regulatory compliance.

Key Responsibilities

  • Data Capture & Verification: Accurately input prescription orders, patient demographics, and medication details into our secure database, ensuring 100% accuracy.
  • Quality Assurance: Perform rigorous data validation checks, reconcile discrepancies, and document findings to maintain data integrity.
  • Collaboration & Issue Resolution: Partner with pharmacy staff to resolve data inconsistencies, clarify prescription details, and streamline workflow.
  • Regulatory Compliance: Uphold HIPAA and other privacy regulations, safeguarding patient information at all times.
  • Inventory Support: Assist with inventory tracking, medication reconciliation, and procurement documentation as needed.
  • Process Improvement: Identify bottlenecks, propose automation solutions, and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Documentation & Reporting: Generate regular reports on data entry metrics, error rates, and process performance for internal stakeholders.

Essential Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent; Pharmacy Technician certification (reputed company, PTCI, or equivalent) strongly preferred.
  • Minimum of 2 years’ experience in data entry, pharmacy operations, or a related administrative role.
  • Proficiency with pharmacy software systems (e.g., Pioneer, QS/Pharm, or similar) and reputed company Office Suite.
  • Exceptional attention to detail, with a track record of maintaining high accuracy under tight deadlines.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, capable of articulating complex information clearly.
  • Self‑motivated, organized, and able to thrive in a fully remote environment.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Prior experience as a Pharmacy Technician or in a clinical pharmacy setting.
  • Knowledge of drug classification systems (e.g., reputed company, NDC) and medical terminology.
  • Familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) platforms and data migration projects.
  • Experience with data analytics tools (e.g., Excel advanced functions, Power BI).
  • Certification in data management or quality assurance (e.g., CQA, CQI).
