The ideal candidate has strong listening skills, excellent grammar, and fast typing abilities, with the ability to handle various accents, speech patterns, and industry-specific content.

Key Responsibilities

  • Accurately transcribe audio and video recordings into text while maintaining high spelling, grammar, and punctuation standards.
  • Identify speaker changes, timestamps, and background noise indicators where necessary.
  • Adhere to client-specific guidelines, including formatting, verbatim transcription, and time-coding.
  • Work with various industries such as business, legal, medical, academic, and media transcription.
  • Conduct basic research to ensure correct spelling of names, terminology, and technical jargon.
  • Meet strict deadlines while maintaining high-quality and error-free transcripts.

Required Skills and Qualifications

  • Fluent in English (both written and spoken) with excellent grammar and punctuation.
  • Typing speed of at least 60 WPM with high accuracy.
  • Strong listening and comprehension skills, with the ability to handle different accents and audio quality levels.
  • Experience with transcription software (e.g., Express Scribe, Otter.ai, Descript, Rev, or similar tools).
  • Ability to handle confidential information and follow data privacy guidelines.
  • Self-motivated and detail-oriented with strong time management skills.
  • Experience in verbatim, non-verbatim, or time-coded transcription is a plus.

Experience
