About the position

Snap Inc. is a technology company focused on improving communication and daily life through its camera-centric products. The Product team at Snap Inc. is responsible for shaping user experiences across various areas like Core Growth, Content, Bitmoji, Augmented Reality, AI, and Emerging Products. They are seeking a Product Manager to join their team, specifically focusing on Safety and Law Enforcement initiatives to enhance user trust and safety on Snapchat.

Responsibilities

  • Develop the product vision, strategy, and roadmap for high impact safety, law enforcement and regulatory compliance product areas to gain trust with all external stakeholders and improve safety on Snapchat.
  • Define goals and own performance against key business metrics for community safety and law enforcement compliance, and proactively drive accountability towards those goals.
  • Continuously identify and size new opportunities to improve these features via data insights, user research, and design thinking.
  • Drive the team’s roadmaps and execution end-to-end — from planning processes to design to development and through launch, authoring excellent documentation and sharing insights and results throughout the company.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional partners to understand regulatory and compliance requirements and define solutions to meet obligations.

Requirements

  • Ability to define features/requirements, clearly prioritize and deliver outstanding results in a fast-paced and collaborative environment.
  • Ability to collaborate and build trust with engineers, operations, data science and other cross-functional teammates.
  • Excellent analytical skills, experience with AB testing, and the ability to understand problems/opportunities, define goals and success metrics.
  • Ability to think creatively and approach problems with system-level thinking.
  • Outstanding communication skills and extremely comfortable conveying complex topics to a diverse array of stakeholders.
  • Skilled in interpersonal communication, relationship management, and organization.
  • Ability to initiate projects, execute against defined objectives, and communicate the results of analyses clearly and effectively.
  • Ability to develop AI first approaches to solving complex problems at scale.
  • BS/BA degree or equivalent years of experience.
  • 4+ years of experience building and shipping products at a technology company; OR a Masters and 3+ years of experience.

Nice-to-haves

  • Domain experience working in trust & safety, anti-abuse, or regulatory compliance.
  • Product Management experience working on a consumer product.
  • Hands-on experience writing complex SQL, and doing descriptive and predictive analytics.
  • BA/BS in Computer Science or related fields.
  • A passion for Snapchat!
