Throughout the internship, you will participate in significant work assignments built to strengthen your knowledge of the financial services industry while developing critical business, communication, and relationship-building skills. You will collaborate with team members to address business challenges, identify opportunities for process improvements, and bring fresh perspectives that help enhance both client and business outcomes. This role is ideal for students who thrive in a fast-paced, customer-focused environment and are interested in exploring a future career in financial planning or wealth management.

This is a 10-week, full-time summer internship running annually from June 7th, 2027 - August 13th 2027. This position is based on-site at the Investor Center location.

Through Fidelity's FIDTERN Program, interns will gain hands-on experience supporting business-critical initiatives while receiving ongoing coaching and mentorship from managers and branch professionals. In addition to daily tasks, interns will join professional development programs, networking events, and learning opportunities. These are built to support their career growth and deepen their understanding of Fidelity's business and culture.

The Expertise and Skills You Bring

  • Experience in customer service, retail, sales or banking

  • Leadership experience and involvement in student organizations

  • Professional demeanor & collaborative problem-solving skills

  • Basic understanding of the current market, economy and economic trends

  • Ability to promote customer loyalty while providing outstanding customer experience

The Team

The Branch Intern will join a collaborative, customer-focused team dedicated to helping individuals and families achieve their long-term financial goals. The Investor Center team partners closely to deliver personalized guidance, exceptional service, and innovative financial solutions to clients at every stage of their financial journey. Interns are fully integrated into the team and encouraged to contribute ideas, ask questions, and take an active role in supporting branch initiatives.

As part of Fidelity's broader intern community, you will have the opportunity to connect with fellow FIDTERNs and professionals across the organization through a variety of in-person and virtual experiences. The team values curiosity, collaboration, accountability, and continuous learning, creating an environment where interns can build meaningful relationships, expand their professional network, and gain firsthand insight into the culture and career opportunities available at Fidelity.
